About Adjectives

Adjectives are words that describe things. They refer to — or modify — nouns.

Adjectives in Spanish must always AGREE in GENDER and NUMBER with the nouns they modify.

In the illustration the word for TREE is a masculine singular noun. Therefore all the adjectives used to describe the tree must be in the masculine singular form.

Move your cursor over the tree to see a feminine singular noun. Here all adjectives used to describe a house must be in the feminine singular form.
